The daisies

I love the aesthetics of water lilies. And everything, from its buds, seed pods, leaves and ofcourse flowers, facinate me.
I have been wanting to create a flower arrangement out of it. In my childhood, perhaps, in 6th standard, my school organized an ikebana competition. And I was clueless but intrigued. And so I signed up for it. I asked the teachers in charge, Googled about it and skimmed through the basics of it......it was a very fun experience, and I also managed to bag the third position, but it was the fun involved and obviously the flowers too, that I discovered my likeness for flower arrangement since then. If you do not know what is:
Ikebana (生け花, 活け花, 'arranging flowers' or 'making flowers alive' is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is also known as kadō 華道, 'way of flowers'. The tradition dates back to Heian period (794–1185), when floral offerings were made at altars. Later, flower arrangements were instead used to adorn the tokonoma (alcove) of a traditional Japanese home.
So lets hope, I get my aesthetic energy high up and sign up for a water lily arrangement.
