Hon'ble Minister for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shri Subhash Phaldessai and Mr. Guruprasad Pawaskar, the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities graced the event organised by The Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID GOA) in collaboration with the Purple Fest 2025. "Beyond Accessibility: The Power of Universal Design" by Dr. Kavita Murugkar, followed by Panel disscussion, panelists Ar. Anup Gadgil, Ar. Elizabeth Kurian, Ar. Sumedh Naik (IPC), Ar. Marwin Gomes (Chief Architect PWD), and Ms. Zaruhi Batoyan (Armenian Politician)
The IIID Goa team led by Chairperson Ar. Pallavi Satardekar, Hon. Sec Ar. Yogesh Pednekar, Treasurer Mr. Jaivant Desai, IPC Ar. Sumedh Naik, Chair-elect Ar. Rajesh Kenkre and others feel that this event is a possitive step for creating awareness of "Universal Design" in the design fraternity of Goa. The event was powered by Fab Powershades LLP.
