Ziran 自然 — Self Nature
Tonight, in QiMotion, we will explore the Taoist concept of Ziran (自然).
Ziran is often translated as naturalness, but its meaning goes deeper. It refers to things being exactly what they are, unfolding according to their own nature.
One of the fundamental principles of Feng Shui is learning to recognize the intrinsic nature of things and intervening as little as possible, so that they do not become artificial. The minimum intervention and maximum recognition of original value.
Whether we are observing a landscape, a building, another human being, or ourselves, Feng Shui teaches us first to see what is already there before trying to change it.
This principle also reflects back on us. How much of the way we move, think, and relate arises naturally, and how much is guided by habits, expectations, fears, and mental constructions?
In movement, these patterns become visible. Tonight we will explore what separates us from our own Ziran — our own nature.
Not to fight these patterns.
Not to force them away.
But to see them, touch them, and perhaps allow some of them to soften.
So that movement can become a little more natural.
A little more spontaneous.
A little more alive.
