Here’s a little knowledge pill: when buying a guitar, keep in mind that the binding has not only an aesthetical purpose, but it turns out to be also very useful when you accidentally drop your guitar. The binding is gonna protect the soft wood of the soundboard and you can avoid bad injuries like this one.

Hint hint: a guitar maker can install bindings on your new bought guitar 😉

The last, and most satisfying parts of a refret. Polishing frets is not only for making them look great, the polished surface gives less friction. So the instrument is gonna be smother to play and the string doesn't get damaged.
And also it looks shiny! 🌟

Just finished a restoration work on this beautiful 1915 Washburn.
I had quite some work to do! Refret, fretboard leveling, reglue some loose braces, finish and set up. But it was totally worth it!
