Claudio Nardi Architects is an Italian-based practice that provides a high-end architectural and interior design service to a discerning clientele. Claudio Nardi has assembled an international team of dedicated professionals who continue to push the boundaries of both architecture and design. Our Head Office is in Florence and is supported by a network of studios in Krakow, London, Hong Kong, Ista

nbul and New York, enabling the delivery of a seamless design product to clients worldwide. With our extensive international reach, we have designed architectural projects for a wide range of commissions including government, corporate, retail, entertainment and residential clients. Amongst our recent projects are the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCAK) in Krakow, built around the former Schindler Factory building, the new Town Hall of Krakow, the Museum of Shipyards Industry (MUCA) in Monfalcone near Trieste, the Mandragora Publishing House Headquarters in Florence, the Port Authority Headquarters in Marina di Carrara and the Vertex Tower (office building) in Amman, Jordan, as well as many private residences in Dubai, London, Madrid, New York, Parma, Rome and Tel Aviv. Within the fashion industry, clients include Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferrè, Valentino, Malo, Tod's, Luisa via Roma and many others. Italy is a country that inspires creativity - the history, the light, the traditions
of the artisans - these are the reasons we work from Florence, the heart of the Renaissance. Our early projects were often within the historic city-centres of Tuscany. This has nurtured a deep understanding and appreciation for the need to balance the sometimes conflicting sensibilities of practical design with the environment aesthetics. We see ourselves in partnership with you, our client. After the initial consultation, we will make a thorough, in-depth study of the site. This is where we consider how we can best match your brief to the local vernacular: the culture, and the climate within which we are to work. The smallest design details are thoughtfully considered so that we are able to resolve any challenge and offer the best solution with the careful balance of solid and void, and light, material and texture. Our roots are embedded in the rich traditions of ‘Mediterranean’ and ‘Rationalism’ but we evolve constantly, drawing on new influences, materials and technologies. We strive to produce architecture that is both global and local, whilst remaining unique and expressive. We understand that for our clients it needs to be as impressive close-up as it is from a distance and, above all, we believe that we produce results that we, and you, can be proud to leave as a legacy to be appreciated by future generations.

Vessel to Neverland,
Winner Competition In Conversation, Tokyo 🥇

A place that preserves the echo of tradition, yet speaks the language of today, with well-deserved recognition!

The idea is to invent Neverland—or a vessel anchored in the sea of crowds and modern rhythms flowing through the streets of Tokyo.
Like an island, a podium: small steps offer rest and provide different points of view, or, like little lounges, create opportunities for encounter.
A modern vessel, yet conceived through the use of traditional materials.

Vessel to Neverland,
Vincitore concorso In Conversation, Tokyo

PARISH CENTRE
Competition- Viareggio, Italy (2015)

The missions of the new world also come to mind, complete and complex places, small worlds of reference, with the sacred place par excellence, but also open spaces, spaces for the community
the materials and forms must certainly be an integral part, indeed a determining part of the message, they must tell, speaking to instinct and memory, the pieces of our past and the invitations and hopes of the present.

PARISH CENTRE
Competition- Viareggio, Italy (2015)

The cities, the historical ones are obviously now defined, consolidated, but the new urban aggregations, even large ones, the medium and large suburbs, have not managed to take shape and make the richness and multiple intimacies of the city their own .
In this disintegrated picture, also and above all from an architectural point of view, the creation of a new church appears to almost evoke the role of the creation of a mission;
the historical, formal and environmental references that come to mind are then the Mediterranean, the material simplicity of surfaces and shapes (also generating Italian rationalism in architecture) and specifically the theme of the cloister, as a place of intimacy but also of welcome, meeting place, a permeable, open cloister.
