a kitchen design for a 1750’s rijksmonument focused on maximising every inch of space

bespoke cabinetry and shelving transform the area around the steep staircase with custom shelves displaying the client’s pottery as functional artwork

mirrors subtly reflect light while a soft mustard yellow palette adds warmth to a kitchen with limited daylight

original black and white carrara checkerboard tiles are retained and complemented by a new curved floor detail that wraps the staircase

traditional dutch wall tiles with fish motifs ground the design in its historic context balancing contemporary intervention with a time worn character
