お店の目の前に広がる風景を、どのように取り込むか。
伊豆高原という自然に溢れた場所において、空間を単に閉じるのではなく、外部とどのように接続するかを考えた。
そこで、厚みをもった壁を設けることで、内と外の境界をコントロールしている。
壁の厚みは風景を切り取り、室内に設えたベンチからその景色を静かに臨むことができる。
How can the landscape unfolding in front of the café be brought into the space?
Located in Izu Kogen, an area rich in nature, the project explores not simply how to enclose the interior, but how to establish a relationship with the surrounding landscape.
Thick walls are introduced to mediate the boundary between inside and outside.
Their depth frames fragments of the scenery, allowing the landscape to be quietly contemplated from a built-in bench within the interior.
