Being a Plumber
Being a plumber is like having a paycheck every day. If you market yourself well, you can earn more money than a doctor. The real downside is not believing in yourself and wasting most of your life working under someone else’s name.
Too many plumbers are proud of being “the best worker” for another man or woman, but at the end of the day all you get are empty praises—and often disrespect.
My advice to fellow plumbers: believe in yourself, market yourself, and stop living your life building someone else’s dream. Remember, those bosses are who they are because of you.
Some plumbers are even lied to and paid next to nothing. They’re told they’re “not qualified enough,” yet when they go out to do a job, the company charges the client the same price as if their top-qualified guy did it. That’s the truth: companies make the most money from the least-qualified plumbers—because they pay them less but still charge full price.
It’s time to break this chain of slavery. Plumbers are breaking their backs so others can live in luxury, while too many of us can’t even afford a bicycle. Most are just earning enough to live in a shack, buy food, and go back to work.
Brothers and sisters, let’s stop settling for survival. Start working for yourself. Start living the life you’re already working for.
