Digital recosturction of ancient Ephesus, showing how colorful this ancient city once was Ephesus was an ancient greek port city whose well-preserved ruins are in modern-day Türkiye. City was important trading center in Mediterranean region.

According to legend, Ionian Prince Androclos founded Ephesus in 11th-10th Century BC. Another legend says, Ephesus was founded by Amazons, a tribe of female warriors, and that city was named after their queen, Ephesia.

Throughout the history, Ephesus survived multiple attacks and changed hands many times between conquerors.

جسر باندرا وورلي البحري (المعروف رسميًا باسم Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link) هو جسر معلق ذو كابلات معدنية وركائز خرسانية مسلحة مسبقة الإجهاد، يربط الضاحية الغربية لمدينة مومباي، باندرا، مع منطقة وورلي في جنوب المدينة. يعتبر الجسر جزءًا من الطريق السريع الغربي المقترح الذي سيربط الضواحي الغربية بمنطقة ناريمان بوينت في الحي التجاري الرئيسي في مومباي. يدير الجسر شركة ولاية ماهاراشترا لتطوير الطرق «إم إس آر دي سي»، وتبلغ تكلفته 19.75 مليار روبية (290 مليون دولار أمريكي)، وشُيّد من قبل شركة هندوستان للإنشاءات.

افتتح الجسر في البداية أربعة ممرات من أصل ثمانية في 30 يونيو 2009، وافتتحت جميع الممرات الثمانية في 24 مارس 2010. يختصر الجسر خلال ساعات الذروة زمن السفر بين باندرا وورلي من 20-30 دقيقة إلى 10 دقائق، ويعد من الطرق الرئيسية في مدينة مومباي. ومنذ تشغيله، بلغ متوسط حركة المرور اليومية على الجسر حوالي 37500 سيارة.

يتألف الجسر من ثمانية ممرات وطوله الإجمالي 5.6 كيلومترات، ويبلغ ارتفاع الجسر عن سطح البحر نحو 63 مترًا. وتعتبر المناظر الخلابة المطلة على البحر من الجسر واحدة من الأسباب الرئيسية لجذب السياح إلى المكان.

تعد الهند من بين الدول النامية التي تعاني من ازدحام المرور، وتعتبر إنشاء الجسر المعلق باندرا وورلي إحدى الحلول التي تساعد على تخفيف الازدحام وتقليل زمن السفر بين المناطق المختلفة في مدينة مومباي
