Sad and infuriating!!! There are rules to competitions, there are ethics! The winner of the competition and her team worked for 2 years on this only to be thrown out. And to add insult to injury the subsequent selection of architect Amale Andraos was made without a competition or a public justification regarding the switch. How the winning architect has been treated is unacceptable, how the subsequent architect was nominated is shady. The organizers should speak up, the OEA should speak up and there should be some serious reform and enforcement of competition rules and regulations in this country not to speak of the fact that all public buildings or buildings with public impact should only be awarded via architectural competitions.
