The first compressed earth block house in Sri Lanka - designed in 1995 and finished in 1998 using compressed, stabilised soil blocks produced using a mechanical press (like the Auram 3000). Instead of firing like clay bricks using soil from the site. The walls are finished in a fine soil mud wash instead of paint. The vaulted roof at entrance and columns used conventional fired-bricks.
