Morphos Architects, is a design studio based in Mauritius, founded by two architects Mary Fok and Pritoo Purmanund in 1997. Mary Fok graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1989 and Pritoo Purmanund graduated from the "Ecole D'Architecture de Grenoble, France" in 1990.
The studio's earliest projects comprised of a series of private houses which received positive reviews and projected the firm as a youthful innovative architectural firm. As from 2004, Morphos Architects moved on to larger scale projects throughout Mauritius, ranging from office towers, residential development, luxury resorts, educational institution, auditorium, sports facilities and bank institutions.
Our Philosophy
The architecture of Morphos Architects is inspired by the cultural and climatic nuances of its context, integrating architectural landscape, water features and blurring the distinction between interior and exterior. Projects display sensitivity to the inherent beauty of natural material expressed through the clarity of construction details and elemental architectual expression.
