This is part of a series where I share a little about future planning for unpredictable life events.

Financial planning is the first step in my effort to plan for the future. This includes insurance and investment, which enables us to live without being too much of a burden to our future selves and our family members.

When I wrote this post in Oct 2025, I had just reviewed my family's insurance policies and financial investments, and I have some thoughts to share -- from an insurance audit in this post to painful financial lessons in the subsequent post. Other steps which I'm hoping to write for this series include AMD, ACP, LPA and will writing.

After exploring the different parts of USJ in part 1, read Part 2 to find out which shows are enjoyable and which ones to avoid to save time. I'll also discuss the Halloween special events that I wish someone had warned us about.

We spent almost 12 hours at USJ, and so we definitely got to try some food in the park. I'll share where we ate that yummy food and where a reservation is required.

Last but not least, I would talk about the many places around USJ you can shop, and share a deal I missed out on myself! And if the merchandise is just too expensive for your budget, I'll let you know where you can get a free mini souvenir 👇🏼
