To include everyone, we need to understand the requirements and the Malaysian Standard 1184:2014. Here we only fulfill the basic requirement, and we could also design beyond accessibility, which is universal design to include everyone, persons with disabilities, older persons, families with young children, expectant and nursing mothers.

And with regard to the accessible car park that is required to be included in public areas, in particular transportation hubs. Such as the MRT Phileo Damansara station here.

Dignity = Accessibility. It is a simple concept for our freedom to live as an older person proudly and independently. Therefore we need to learn how to design for our future selves. As designers and architects, we can relearn and find out how to serve our clients better to future proof our environment socially. The ability to have meaningful social interactions with others. The ability to help ourselves and have as little assistance as possible with less cost implications. Let us know more about accessibility and universal design.
