The sunken courtyard is opened and extended down to the basement level, creating a dramatic double — volume void that draws natural light and landscape deep into the subterranean space.
What was once enclosed becomes connected — transforming the lower ground into a luminous, breathable environment.
Through an open and restrained design approach, this sunken level evolves into the primary social heart of the home — a space that accommodates both intimate daily living
and broader moments of gathering.
The homeowner’s refined and composed lifestyle is quietly embedded into every detail of the space.
Programmatically, the layout embraces flexibility.
An oversized sofa and expansive rug anchor the living area, allowing for multiple modes of occupation — from solitary lounging and reading to informal gatherings where guests can sit freely, without constraint.
The spatial composition maximises value through fluid zoning.
As one moves across different areas, a natural rhythm emerges — where circulation, openness, and visual continuity
allow atmosphere and movement to flow effortlessly.
Departing from the conventional use of light neutrals,
a composed palette of sophisticated greys defines the main spatial language, gradually extending into every corner of the home.
Often associated with galleries and large-scale cultural spaces, this nuanced grey introduces a quiet sense of refinement and restraint.
Here, it is reinterpreted within a residential context —
paired with richly textured wall finishes, deep-toned timber elements, and moments of clarity through lighter accents — evoking a calm, almost forest-like serenity.
Layering, sequencing, and interweaving spatial strategies create a condition of complete openness — a space that feels both structured and free.
Above, the ceiling unfolds in soft, flowing curves,
introducing a sense of movement reminiscent of water.
In contrast to rigid linear geometries, these organic forms bring softness, rhythm, and a subtle vitality to the space.
While the overall composition appears minimal, it is deeply articulated through detail.
Beyond the sculptural ceiling, walls and transitional corridors are defined by precise planar shifts and intersections, establishing a composed dialogue between symmetry and variation — offering new perspectives with every movement.
