Using vaccines and medications on your chickens covers you from risk of infections when poultry deseases strike. Vaccines are effective when administered and handled correctly.
Of course no medicine is 100% and when handled wrongly vaccines can wipe out your entire farm in one day.
At TVFO we have accustomed our chickens to more traditional methods of desease prevention, along with vaccines.
We administer Neem in their drinking water ever so often (3 times a week) to help boost their immune systems and make them hardy to fend off infections. This works wonders.
Our mortality rate has significantly decreased from 15% to 5% since beginning this practice.
Of course coupled with strict hygiene practices in our chicken houses, it is a game changer in desease control.
Deseases can be a real manace and chickens are sensitive and will normally die quickly once infected if they are not protected.
