your bio would say it clearly.

I opened a page and was stuck at 80 followers for a year.

No plan.
No structure.
No idea what I was doing.

I thought opening a page = growth.
I was wrong.
The problem wasn’t effort.
It was lack of direction.

Starting is easy.
Starting right is what matters.

Don’t open a page until you know what you’re building.

If I had to start a new page today, these are the only 10 posts I would make.

Most beginners post randomly
Then wonder why nothing happens.
If your page is under 100 followers, you don’t need more ideas.

You need structure.

Here are the only 10 posts I’d focus on
1. Your “What This Page Is About” Post
Tell people what you do and who it’s for.

2. A Beginner Mistake Post
Call out something your audience is doing wrong.

3. A Simple Tip Post
Give one clear, actionable tip they can use immediately.

4. Your Story (With a Lesson)
Not just your journey what it teaches.

5. A Problem Breakdown Post
Take one struggle and explain why it’s happening.

6. A Step-by-Step Guide
Show exactly how to do one thing.

7. A What I am Testing Post
Share an experiment. Build curiosity.

8. A Myth-Busting Post
Challenge a common belief in your niche.

9. A Small Win + Insight
Even 1 result is enough—explain what caused it.

10. Repeat What Works
Go back to your best-performing post and double down.

Your first 10 posts are not for going viral.
They are for building clarity, skill, and direction.

Stop posting randomly.
Build your first 10 with intention then grow from there.

Just Be consistent.
That advice is incomplete.

Consistency without direction is just repetition.

You can post every day
And still stay stuck.

Because if your content is
not clear
boring
unfocused

Doing more of it won’t fix anything.

Consistency works only when your content is improving.

Stop posting just to say you showed up.

Start posting to get better.

That is the difference between busy and growing.

I stopped doing follow-for-follow.
Here’s what I’m doing instead to actually grow my page.

Follow-for-follow gave some numbers.
But it did not give me an audience.

So I changed my approach completely.
No more chasing random followers.

This is what I am doing now
1. Am focusing on content, not numbers
Instead of asking, How do I get followers?
I am asking, Is this post worth following me for?
If the content is weak, no strategy will save it.

2. I am posting with a clear message
Every post has a purpose.
Not random thoughts.
Not just to stay active.
I am building around one thing: Helping beginner creators fix their content and grow.

3. I am writing for a specific person
Not everyone.
I am speaking directly to: The beginner who is stuck, confused, and not growing.
Because when you talk to everyone nobody listens.

4. I am choosing value over visibility
Am not trying to be seen by everybody.
Am trying to be remembered by the right people.

Even if only 5 people read it, if it helps them, they come back.

5. I am playing the long game
No shortcuts. No quick wins.
Just
better posts
clearer messaging
consistent showing up

That is how real growth happens.

You don’t need more followers.
You need better content and the right audience

This time, I am not building numbers.
I am building something people actually care about.
Let’s see where this goes.

After opening my page with no plan, I made the next mistake

I chased numbers instead of growth.
I started doing follow-for-follow.
Joining groups.
Following random people just to get a follow back. 🥺🙆

And it worked a little
The numbers went up.

From almost nothing to 97 followers.
But here's what I didn’t think about

These people didn’t care about my content.
They didn’t know why they followed me.
And they didn’t engage with anything I posted.

So I had followers
But no attention.
No engagement.
No real growth.

And this is the lesson I learnt- Follow-for-follow does not build an audience.
It builds empty numbers.

A page with 7 followers who engage and who care about your content is better than 10K followers who don't.

Because at least 7 real people can grow with you.

Fake growth hides your real problem.

So I am starting again.
No shortcuts.
No chasing numbers.
This time, I am building an audience that actually cares.

In February 2025, I opened this page for the wrong reason.

Not because I had a plan.
Not because I knew what I wanted to build.

But because someone said Open a page. It is better than using your profile.

So I did.
No direction.
No content strategy.
Nothing to say.

I just opened the page and expected growth.

Fast forward to today March 2026.
That page is sitting at 97 followers.
Not because growth is hard.
But because I started without structure.

I didn’t know
what I wanted to be known for
what kind of content I would post
who I was even talking to 🙆

So every time I wanted to post, I got stuck.
And when you are always stuck, you stop showing up.

Opening a page without structure is the fastest way to kill your consistency.

Most beginners don’t have a growth problem.
They have a clarity problem.

You don’t need to just start.
You need to start with direction.

Now I am doing this differently.
I am rebuilding this page from scratch, this time with structure.
And I’ll show you exactly what works and what does not.

What's the biggest mistake you've made growing your page?

I used to think if I just stayed consistent, growth would eventually happen.

Post.
Post again.
Post again.
Still no real movement.

Hard truth nobody told me early
Consistency without direction is just repeating mistakes faster.

If you’re posting every day but nothing is changing… pause and check your message.

Simple fix:
1️⃣ Look at your last 5 posts.
2️⃣ Do they talk to ONE type of person?
3️⃣ Do they solve ONE clear problem?

If not, you are busy, but not strategic.

Be honest are you consistent, or are you strategically consistent?
