I just saw this post on Facebook and I decided to also enlighten property owners based on price negotiation
I know a painter in my state that this said thing is her full time character
You can quote 4m for a job and she will quote 2.5
Now this is the most annoying part . She will use her money and start the job while the negotiation is still going on
Now this tactics do favor her majority of the times
But look at the problem
The person will not finish the job without collecting another money off the negotiated price
And you can only drag and win the person if you have a paper work of the contract (let me ask how many people do that in this country except for big companies)
Las las na you wey get house go loss
Because that person will end up collecting 6m from you and you will not know (penny wise pounds foolish)
In the case of This plastering issue , from my guess I believe that some other people must have given their quotations but he chose this one that will give him headache because of price
My advice here is
Before you give out your job to someone don’t just bend on the price only and then forget about the quality of work you want and the genuineness of the person
