MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

Taking care of your health is like growing a plant - For your plant to flourish and do well. You need to supply it with good air, good light, the right amount of temprature, very good soil and a sufficient amount of nutrients. On top of all this there has to be a steady dedication and watch to the way these features are administered, a little too much or a little too less will show deficiency in the growth of your plants.

This can be linked to one's mental health. It is a life long process and the practice goes on forever. As we go about our daily lives and we experience dips in our daily lives.
Its important to be conscious during these dips and sieve out the ones that are not serving you well before they take control of your day and get intense.

A very healthy thing to do would be to have healthy thinking habits.

Remember "it's not a one an done" thing Its not a Sprint. It's a marathon and some us need to participate more often than others and there is no shame in that.

These are some common topics involved with Mental Health Awareness - social well-being, subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, intergenerational dependence, self-actualization of one's intellectual and emotional potential, an individual's ability to enjoy life and to create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience and so on…

Some early signs related to mental health problems are sleep irritation, lack of energy and thinking of harming yourself or others.

SKIN CANCER AWARENESS

Skin Cancer is the growth of abnormnal cells that are capable of invading and destroying other associated skin cells. It is classified into the melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers with melanoma being the most severe type of skin cancer. Although skin cancer is much lower in Nigeria than in other parts of the world, it has been on the rise and now ranks as the sixth in the top ten malignancies in Nigeria.
