Perched atop a highland in the vibrant city of Bandung, the latest architectural endeavor by RUANGRONA embraces a semi-villa concept, infused with an ambiance that promises a daily escape akin to a vacation retreat.

RUANGRONA's design ethos harmoniously marries modern aesthetics with tropical contemporary architecture, manifesting a tranquil haven where residents can find solace after a day of bustling urban activities.

The underlying principle of seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces takes center stage in this project. This design not only fosters a health-conscious living environment but also capitalizes on natural ventilation, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and air conditioning.

RUANGRONA ingeniously harnesses the undulating contours of the site, yielding an exceptional spatial experience, notably in the captivating pool area and pool deck.

Set within a bustling residential enclave, the dwelling necessitated a strategic facade orientation that sways inward, bestowing both privacy and aesthetic allure to the structure. A substantial consideration given the high traffic volume in the vicinity.

Wood, as a predominant material choice, imbues the residence with an inviting and cozy villa-like atmosphere. This selection resonates harmoniously with the property's cool highland location, infusing a warm and welcoming character. Complementing the wood, exposed concrete, pristine white walls, and earthy tones dominate the interior and exterior aesthetics, weaving a seamless design narrative.

Spatial zoning within the structure neatly divides it into three distinct realms: public, semi-private, and private areas. A particularly noteworthy feature is the front-facing yoga studio, catering to diverse needs, while concurrently distinguishing public and private domains. This thoughtfully articulated layout ensures a clear demarcation between the more communal spaces at the front and the private sanctuaries, including access to the second floor, nestled towards the rear.

Designed to accommodate a young, dynamic urban family, the residence seamlessly interconnects all its areas. The fluid integration of indoor and outdoor spaces fosters an ambiance of familial warmth. It's a place where the everyday feels like a perpetual holiday—a home that truly embodies the essence of modern living while offering respite from the urban hustle and bustle.
