The canal house in full, held in one palette from the front room to the library at the back. Herringbone floor, coffered ceilings above, and a white spiral stair turning up through the centre of the house.

The rooms are set around the light: a curved dining table in the window, a marble fireplace held between built-in oak shelves, low leather chairs that sit under the sightlines. Upstairs the same restraint carries into the dressing room and the bathroom, where fluted joinery and a stone-clad bath keep everything quiet.

Step inside Le Grand George. A slow walk through every mood we designed into this space.
From the soft glow of the table lamps along the banquettes, to the Rosso Levanto natural stone and Calacatta Viola marble that wrap the bar in an explosion of red, every corner tells its own story. Glassware catches the light beneath the arched mirror, rounded pendants float like little moons, and blue marine tones, burgundy and subtle greens move together as the room drifts from golden dinner hour into the deep glow of night.

Artist in Residence

A garden house, once forgotten, now living two lives: atelier by day, gathering place by evening. The bar holds it together, handmade tiles, a natural stone top, oak fronts chiseled by hand. Upstairs a hand painted table and chairs by sit among artworks made by the owner themselves. A space built for making things, and for the people who come to see them.

There's a version of minimalism that feels cold, and then there's this: soft boucle you sink into, an art piece left leaning against the wall instead of hung, one dark object standing its ground. Calm doesn't have to mean empty. Well placed, curated art can elevate a space while keeping its sense of calm intact.
