Happy to have hosted a small terrarium workshop for a group of lovely women from Women's WellBeing Group and WijEindhoven in Dynamo, Meerhoven. We slowed down and engaged in the mindful process of terrarium-making.
Lots of laughter and, at the end, a quiet admiration on how even a small jar can hold a forest on its own! 💚

Participants had a lot of fun and were thrilled to try something unique as this - hands-on, the many layers, and the earthy feel 🌿😊

Ik geef niet zoveel kokedama-workshops in vergelijking met terrariums, maar toen een van de deelnemers vroeg om dit samen met haar moeder te doen als moederdagcadeau... moest ik het gewoon waarmaken.💚
Kokedama's maken is echt een workshop waarbij je je handen vuil maakt met aard, like a child who loves getting his hands dirty! Het was superleuk 🌿

Ik heb ook een paar trucjes ontdekt om het mos en de plant met minimale verzorging gezond te houden, en die heb ik natuurlijk met de deelnemers gedeeld.

En het allerbelangrijkste: ik heb grotendeels in het Nederlands gesproken! 🌟Ja, dit was mijn eerste workshop in het Nederlands (met hier en daar natuurlijk wat Engels erdoorheen). Laat maar komen, zou ik zeggen!💪

We hebben nog 2 terrarium-workshops voordat we sluiten voor de zomervakantie: op 6 juni en 20 juni. Kom je gezellig je eigen gesloten ecosysteem maken? Link in bio.🌿🪴✨️

Here's a fascinating thing I learned about scarlet lily beetles and the survival strategy of their larvae! 💩
They have a highly specialized anatomical adaptation: an a**s that is located on the upper side of its body rather than underneath. When it p**ps, it comes right on the larvae own lower back.
Because the larvae is constantly eating lily leaves, it produces constant p**p covering it even more, like a sticky glue. This way, it keeps itself hidden!

When the larvae is fully grown and ready to be an adult beetle, it sheds the entire , drops into soil, and forms a clean pupa to complete its life cycle!!

Oh man! Nature fascinates me! 🌿😀 I am this nerdy 🤓

It was such an honor to host a private terrarium-making workshop for this bride’s bachelorette party! 👰
When one of the bridesmaids told me that the bride is a true nature lover (and loves frogs) who wanted a calm, earth-centered celebration, I knew this was going to be a special session. 🌿 We slowed things down, connected with the soil, and spent the morning crafting miniature ecosystems.

Watching this amazing group of friends laugh, share stories, and intentionally place plants and moss and 🐸, to create something beautiful together was pure magic.✨️
Thank you all for bringing such wonderful energy into my space, getting your hands dirty, and letting me be a small part of celebrating your beautiful, nature-loving bride. May your friendships—and your terrariums—continue to grow and thrive! 💚
