Contemporary Navy & Oak Bedside Cabinet has been thoughtfully reimagined to bring character, colour and function into the home.

Hand-painted in a rich Deep Sea navy and paired with the warmth of natural blonde oak, this one-of-a-kind cabinet blends contemporary styling with the charm of vintage furniture.

A striking copper malachite stone handle adds the perfect finishing touch and gives the piece just a little extra personality.

💙 The story behind this transformation

✨ From destined for landfill to Poppy Bloom 🌺

This bedside began as a throwaway piece, destined for landfill and in pretty terrible condition. But I could see there was still plenty of life left in it.

Inspired by the beautiful poppy decoupage paper, I chose to create a soft blended finish in layers of teal and blue, allowing the colours in the artwork to guide the transformation.

As I worked, the design continued to evolve — something I love about the creative process. The contrasting rich red inside the open shelf became the perfect finishing touch, picking up the vibrant poppies and bringing the whole piece together.

Now, instead of being discarded, it has a completely new life as a colourful, one-of-a-kind bedside cabinet. 🌺

✨ Every transformation begins with a vision...

This is one of the pieces currently in my workshop. I am imagining painted with a deep Aubergine colour combined with an abstract print on the top and a touch of sparkle using a glaze on the trims to help bring the idea together.

The design may continue to evolve as I work - that is one of my favourite parts of the creative process.
