Step by step painting of cherry blossom using
Neptune round 6 or 8
Brilliant Opera Rose Horadam Aqarrell
Steps
1. Load your round brush fully with a light value of Opera Rose and create a half leaf stroke
2. Repeat step 1 and create another half leaf stroke and wrap up the petal.
3. While the paint of petal is still, drop a medium to high value of Opera Rose on the base of the petal.
Practice these steps till you are familiar with painting a petal. Then proceed to paint a 5 petals open floral.
4. Dot 5 stokes, spacing them out so that you can paint each petal from each stoke.
5. Add details for the centre of the cherry blossom. Use Yellow Gouache to paint the stigma & style and Horadam Aqarrell Perylene Maroon for the pollens & stamens
Swipe left for the detailed painting.
Try this for Spring, CNY fun!!

Last week's Mini Watercolour Landscape Workshop.
And it's a wrap to my 2025 workshops!
Time really really flies so fast this year, and I can't believe that I had run 11 years of workshops almost non stop ( not mentioning COVID time)
I truly enjoy my in person workshops a lot. I guess it's another season of my life for this period and I will be taking a 4 month break for a very special assignment!!😊
