Back at Waitokariā
This magnificent beauty makes 44 — what a milestone.

Pōhutukawa No. 44, from the former Villa Maria vineyard, was dug yesterday, lifted and loaded today, and begins her journey north at 4am tomorrow.

She’s 1 of 3 heading to a beautiful new beachside home at Te Arai Links, Mangawhai — a very special new chapter for these trees, and the most fabulous of clients… and her clients. 😉 🌳 💚

You know it’s a big one when the PK78 starts to squeal. 😏

Crane & Cartage bringing the muscle for this enormous Villa Maria pōhutukawa.

Big enough to dwarf a grown man. Heavy enough to keep the Hiab honest.

After a 4am start, this is one hell of a sunrise. 🌳

The sun bursts over the Waitematā, boats sail past and the first of our Villa Maria pōhutukawa rises from the truck.
Driven across Auckland by Crane & Cartage, then carefully lifted and stood tall at Te Ara Tukutuku.

Not much of a challenge for this crew. Crane & Cartage have been helping Specimen Tree move big trees for over 25 years. They know the drill.

Big trees. Heavy lifts. Safe hands.

Not a bad way to start the day.
