Privacy and street noise reduction were the motivations for these fence infills in Penrose.
I carefully removed the existing concrete cappers to reuse on top.
A sturdy and cost effective solution when you live on a very busy street.

A straightforward rebuild of the corner of this Avondale house today.
The owners are replacing the broken brick steps with a new timber deck, the extra salvaged bricks will be reused to fix other similar aged houses around Auckland.
Such a satisfying result ❤️

I was incredibly fortunate to find the perfect recycled bricks for the foundation repair of this 1960s classic. The curved garden bed, a later addition to the house, had failed over time. A straightforward take down and rebuild with added strengthening was necessary to better retain the soil.
Reusing and recycling are always the best options for historic repairs.
