Joe Zhou, Director at OZAC Architects was interviewed by Daniel Bolstad, Senior Manager at Versa Finance recently, about what designs are having success in the current market and how we and our clients dealing with the challenges facing the industry.

Joe is still seeing demand and confidence in that medium density, affordable, space, from well-established developers but acknowledges the challenge of carefully balancing the cost and material availability with the functionality and appearance of the projects he is designing.

Architecturally designed development in North Shore, Auckland, consists of 32 units of one, two, or three-bedroom terraced houses. Its open floor design and seamless indoor-outdoor flow promised to accommodate modern lifestyle needs. With the cooperation from both arborists and ecologists, our design team had developed an immaculate plan, to balance the housing development needs while protecting mother nature at the same time.

Situated on an approx. 653.26sqm lot, the 5 storeys building housed 16 boutique apartments that have a solid construction of concrete slab and elegant profiling facades, offering sound-deadening acoustics, durability and low-maintenance upkeep.

Another great little development that is sold out with a very happy client. Located in Te Atatu Peninsula, this project consists of 7 Architecturally designed terrace houses each with their own car park pad. Timeless brick and BCG cladding make these affordable designs high sought after.

We had an early Halloween celebration today, music, drinks, pizza and heaps of fun! Pikachu received the most votes and was the winner of The Best Costume this year!

Last Thursday was Chinese Moon Festival. We organised an internal celebration for all staff to share snacks and play games, like solving the riddles and Pictionary. There was so much fun and lots of laughs on that day!
