Some progress shots of this new garden after 1 year of development!
The client's wanted something colourful and vibrant that would bring life to this busy roadside corner while a small food-forest system establishes!
The concrete bed had been overfilled with topsoil, so needed scraping back and retaining with ponga logs to create access and hold mulch on the slope for soil building.
Wildflowers and fast growing perennials steal the show in the first season, outcompeting weeds, creating shelter and improving soil conditions for fruit trees and shrubs to eventually take over.
