‘Terroir’ ~ Environmental Conditions
- Soil
- Climate
- Topography
- Human Influence
We found this great example earlier in the season of Rosemary Webb in different growing conditions.
Both plants are cuttings from the same tuber. One grown in full sun in the garden, the other in a shadier location in a pot.
There is an obvious difference between the leaf colour, bloom size, and bloom colour.
If you have a variety that hasn’t performed or flowered as expected consider the environmental conditions and give them a second chance.
Sometimes a new variety can also take a couple of seasons to settle into its new environment.
We personally never have great success growing in pots often with smaller, yellower flowers.
did a great post about this last year I will reshare in our stories.
** If a plant hasn’t thrived and disease is suspected it is always disposed off.
