These purple sugar apples are something special. We grow them in the greenhouse so they get that extra warmth. It makes all the difference for that rich, sweet flavour.
We harvested this one a few days ago and let it ripen on the bench. Now it’s super creamy and soft… almost melts in your mouth. Hard to beat.
This is our first fruiting from these trees, and we’ve got a few different seedlings, all slightly different. One of them didn’t even drop its leaves over winter, but no fruit this year. Keen to see what it does next season.
The one in the photo is the Isan Indigo seedling fruit, and it came pretty close to the type, so I’m happy with how it turned out.

At 400g, this Frankie’s Red dragon fruit officially a giant for its kind! You usually get the color and flavor, but this time, we got the size too.
It also clocked in at a staggering 22 Brix! Pure neon-pink perfection straight from the vine.

NZ-grown black sapote are truly delicious, This one weighed in at a massive 464g and came straight from our nursery tree. The flavour has a hint of American pawpaw, a smooth avocado-like texture, and a touch of fuyu persimmon sweetness. Absolutely incredible fruit.

We're so excited to be successfully fruiting our new favorite Annona, the Bullock Heart, here in New Zealand! Its flavor is a delightful surprise: a sweet, creamy base similar to a sugar apple finished with a distinct, bright strawberry note! Adding to its appeal, this particular variety boasts fewer and significantly smaller seeds.

Currently thriving in our greenhouse, we're now trialing it outdoors to test its limits. We hope to officially release this promising variety next year after further trials!
