Our Story
Colourline Nurseries was originally based in West Auckland from 2000 making the move north in 2010. Julie the manager (me) started work in a Big Tree and Palm Nursery in 1990 while still at school. Nearly five years later after working both part time while studying and then full time I moved on to Assistant Manager in a Garden Centre.
After 18 months it was time for an overseas experience and for a year I explored other options with both bar work and working in a cafe for a Merchant Bank in London. On return I worked at Propex Nursery learning the skills of propagation.... which led to Colourline.
Nearly 60 percent of the plants grown at Colourline are from seeds/cuttings from plants in the home garden so if you visit you can actually meet their ‘mums’. The rest are from seed locally sourced when available and GOL’s bought in as very small plants.
I look after every plant from seed/cutting to dispatch personally so if they do not perform for you I would like to know.
