My client wants to keep natives on the property and I keep pulling out all weeds that don't belong. Especially montebretia... this stuff is unbelievable.

Yes I'm still here, gardening. It's been really busy and I'm grateful for everyone who supports me.
I thought I share the toughest weeding job, I've come across so far over the years. Couch grass and dock....
It's unbelievable how hard it is to pull out couch grass. I used a gruber and struggled to get it in the ground. And of course my most trusted tool, a hook made locally by Hell's fire forges, just down the road from me.
Hand weeding is tough on the hands and arms and I'm grateful that it's Friday tomorrow. It was a tough day.

It's been almost 4 months since I went out on my own and started working for myself. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the overwhelming response!
Thank you to all my clients for your support and trust in me with your gardens and properties.
A special thank you to all my supporters who help me out in various ways to keep me and my endeavours going.
It's been a very humbling experience! I feel honoured and grateful. Golden Bay truly has my back! It's my home and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I wish you all happy solstice celebrations, in what ever way you celebrate and a fantastic new year of 2026 filled with lots of love, strength and happiness!
I'm going to have a break from the 25th of December until the 5th January.

Yesterday's job was a bit different and I very much enjoyed doing it.
My task was to let more light in but keep the neighbours out. So open it up but not losing privacy. I got to use all my toys 😃
My phone camera isn't great but I think you can see the difference.
My client is very pleased and so am I. 🥰
