The slowdown in new builds means there is less workaround for tradies. But as people opt for make-do solutions rather than total makeovers, there seems to be more work than ever for Poppa Jim's Odd Jobs and Creative Solutions. Here Poppa Jim has added a bathroom to an existing sleepout. A great way to reduce costs is to use second-hand joinery and do the finishing/ painting yourself. Poppa Jim is happy to take your project to whatever level of completion that fits your budget and DIY abilities.

Oldies but Goddies - these garage doors have seen a lot of action and most of the widow panes were broken. Replacing them all was too expensive so Poppa Jim made them serviceable again by swapping around the glass and closing over the bottom panels with ply. They will look like new ones once the owner has painted them.

There is nothing more creative than a Tiny House - especially when it's built by Poppa Jim! This is build we are doing up North on a Lifestyle block. Steel frame on a 10m x 3m triple axle trailer. Whenever possible we are using recycled materials - windows, batts etc. Not only cost-saving but eco-friendly as well.

Too high for a ladder - but too expensive to rent scaffolding? No problem - Poppa Jim rents out his scaffolding to local residents at a right neighborly price!

Mobile scaffolding will cost you $250+ a week from a rental company! Use Poppa Jim's scaffolding for $150 pw!

The scaffold is 1.2m x 1.8m and will give you a working height of approx 5m. It has 4 adjustable and lockable wheels and comes with outriggers to stabilize the tower.

Poppa Jim wants you to work safely so will provide you with safety and set-up instructions. If you would prefer, he can erect it for you for a small additional fee.
