A little History �
When I worked at the Riverton Community House (many years ago). I was handed a letter that was addressed to the Riverton Community Board. The letter was from a community member saying that we should have a community Christmas tree, although this wasn't in my job description at the time it was a letter I remembered. Then one C

hristmas I spotted my mum and her friend Doetie decorating a tree outside Supervalue. After a few wines � I decided that it was a project that I can take on. We raised enough money from Grants, Quiz Nights and the generosity of the community to purchase an Outdoor Christmas Tree, which now goes up on the 1st of December for the month of December. Because we are not a Charitable Trust I needed to create a funding source for any maintenance the tree needed. So the Ultimate Community Quiz Challenge was set up as the annual fundraiser to raise money for the maintenance for the Christmas tree and any other Community Christmas Projects ( which a few have been created)
The fundraiser funds the following projects:
�Anything that the Christmas Tree Needs
�The Magical Christmas Doors of Riverton
�Gifts for the Santa Mailbox
�10 Days of where is Santa Today
�Tree for the RSA Christmas Tree Display

I now work as a Real Estate Agent in the community and volunteer my time to the above projects. All money raised is accountable on a monthly basis. I welcome anytime if you have any questions/concerns or have any ideas you may have to continue the Christmas Cheer in our community. please give me a call on �021 41 23 53 or pop down and see me at my office 121 Palmerston Street, Riverton. As the Magical Christmas Doors of Riverton grows, I needed to find a safe space that was easy access to store everthing for 11 months of the year. The Flecks Hall committee have supported the community project and we rent a space from them that is absolutely perfect 👌

I would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to the Riverton Community Op Shop Funding for supporting the application I put in to assist with the storage costs, it absolutely made my day receiving this great news. We are so lucky to have this op-shop that puts money right back into the community 🙌

The best thing about the Magical Christmas Doors of Riverton that everything you see on the track is created by someone in Southland- and thats not going to change as that is something unique and special 🧡

I have a big space to fill and I would love some more amazing pieces to be created big or small, it makes a great project for teachers, businesses, families or if your on your own.

RIVERTON Businesses,Schools, Community Groups the challenge is real. We would love you to put in a piece that represents u and help us create an amazing new feature. Height restriction half a metre. Let's show case our community. You have 9 months to create something unique and special.

We have been kindly donated a Christmas Tree and a memorial seat. So I cant wait for you to find these new special pieces on the walk this year. We also have a new photo board coming, new driftwood trees for the entrance 😀 Let's make this year even more magical and bring more smiles.

We are all packed away for another year, thank you to everyone that continues to support us. Contributing pieces of amazing Christmas art, the volunteers setting up and packing away, getting the track ready, visiting, donations, approval for the use of land 🥰 and most importantly everyones amazing feedback it was so great receiving all your messages x

For myself the new location is alot more Magical than people relise 🥰 It brought more people together as more people could visit, and subject to approval we will be back for 2026 in the new location.

The magic is just beginning. The plan for 2026 is in place and its very exciting.

Remember if you would like to contribute a piece just pm or it just needs to be dropped off to my house before 1st of December pm for address
