Cornerstone Roses

Hi Everyone! It has been a while since we have given an update, so here we are! Cornerstone Roses has had such an amazing first year on our new property and we are so excited to be sharing with you a bit of behind the scenes footage of what's been going on. We have put together a video of the process of the field prep and planting of our rootstock cuttings which we will be propagating this Summer for Winter 2027. (Footage shot by our amazing worker Melinda!) We hope you enjoy!

On another note, the roses that we propagated at the start of this year are doing so unbelievably well! I will be posting pictures of our nursery before long, it makes me so excited to walk amongst all our lovely roses and see the amazing size, health and vigor!

Please do feel free to check out our website: cornerstoneroses.co.nz to check out our collection for next season, or in the meantime, feel free to pop in to our nursery from Monday to Friday 9am to 2.30pm to check out our current potted roses, or check out our lovely heritage display garden. We will be also opening up on Saturdays too from December onwards. (Just a quick note that all the roses listed on the website in our "2026 Season" are preorders for next year.)

Once again, I just want to take the opportunity to say such a massive thank you to all who have supported us through our journey and we are very much looking forward to supplying you with our roses!

Hey Everyone! It's been a while since we have posted any updates but we have some really exciting news! Over the past few months we have been working on building our new website: cornerstoneroses.co.nz. It has finally gone live and you now have the ability to browse our stock and buy online!

Thanks to you all, we have had such a great and successful Summer season and I have really loved spending time with all of you who have come in to chat about roses! As well as our potted roses going really well, we have also had a very successful budding season and the take looks great - Super exciting!

On a personal note - I just want to thank all of the amazing people that have helped and supported us over the last year in so many different ways... from our major move from our previous property to greener pastures, to potting up all of our roses, to budding all of our rootstock and so much more. This company is not a one man show and I certainly wouldn't be able to do what I love if it wasn't for our amazing team and community. So thank you all once again for being so incredibly supportive and helpful, I cant even begin to say how much I appreciate it.

Aaaaand we're back! We are now officially open at our new premises at 144 Lodder Lane in Riwaka from Wednesday - Saturday 9am to 4.30pm 😊 A great chance to stock up on last minute Christmas gifts!

Not only have we changed locations, but we have also transitioned into our new company called Cornerstone Roses. We are operating exactly the same as before, offering a huge range of over 550 varieties (more coming soon!) all the way from David Austins to Moderns to Climbers and Ramblers as well as what we all love so dearly... the Heritage roses.

With the help of the Heritage Rose Society, we have planted the start of our display garden. Currently housing 70 roses, we are aiming to expand year after year and to make Cornerstone Roses a place for people to stop, take some time out, be amongst the amazing roses and relax 😊

I cannot even begin to say how grateful I am for the overwhelming amount of support that I have had from you all in so many ways. From having amazing volunteers helping with our move, to local garden groups helping us pot up literally thousands of roses, to having support and guidance from the Heritage Rose Society and other incredible rose growers around the country, and of course all the lovely emails and messages of support... Thank you all for making the vision of Cornerstone Roses a reality.

I have taken a few photos of some of our roses in our new nursery. It is always such a special feeling walking amongst them all. And to those wondering about our foreman (Roger) and how he adjusted to the move, don't worry, he is "firing on all paws"

Once again, Thank you all so much for everything, I really look forward to meeting you all out at our new location in Riwaka. We have thousands of potted roses for sale over this Summer, So please stop by, smell the roses, have a chat and enjoy yourself.

Happy New Year everyone!😊

Along with sharing more photos of our beautiful roses from around our property (and a sleepy Roger), I am truly excited to announce that our stock list for 2024 is now up on our website: tbr.co.nz (which you can access by using the link on the main page of our website) 😊

Thank you all so much for your patience while I have been compiling the list! Please send through an email to [email protected] with your order and details so that I can secure your roses for you for this Winter. Please note that orders cannot be made through the website as it is just a catalogue.

Hey Everyone! I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas 😊

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone, as I am so grateful for all of the support this year in getting Tasman Bay Roses back on its feet. I sincerely appreciate every one of you and I'm really looking forward to being able to supply you with our beautiful roses into the new year.

We are now taking orders through email, and messenger, for bare rooted roses for this coming Winter. I have almost finished my stock take so I can get back to you regarding availability in early January. I will also be making a list up soon, similar to what I have for our potted roses for you to choose from 😊

Once again, thank you all so much and please enjoy a few photos of some of the roses we currently have at our shop. (Also a photo of Roger) I hope you all have a great New Years!

Hi Everyone 😊 I was just walking around our nursery amongst our Patio standards and David Austins and I found some beautiful roses that I'd love to share with you all!

All of these are available now and would certainly make a wonderful present for a loved one! (Also featuring a picture of a cheeky chap called Roger)

Hi everyone! Tasman Bay Roses will be opening from next Tuesday the 24th onwards to sell our potted roses. Our hours will be 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.

Our roses are at different stages of growth so some might not be available to purchase for a few more weeks. However expressions of interest are more than welcome.

Below I have attached a link to a google doc that will show what we have available. This doc will be updated daily as we both sell our roses and add more to our collection.
