The vision is starting to take shape — and the difference in how this home functions is already noticeable.

Created from progress captured across two site visits, this reel shows how thoughtful layout changes can completely shift the way a home feels and functions — without increasing footprint.

The new layout improves:
• circulation
• storage & wardrobe optimisation
• kitchen & laundry functionality
• connection between spaces
• access to outdoor living

Now entering the finishing stage internally, the transformation is becoming more visible with every visit.

Stay tuned as the final layers of the transformation come together.

The smallest details are often the ones you notice most.

Cabinet handles and k***s might seem like a finishing touch, but they play a big role in both the look and feel of a kitchen. They’re also one of the few elements you interact with every single day, so practicality matters just as much as appearance.

The right hardware can completely shift the character of a space.

Provincial and heritage-style handles work beautifully in villas and farmhouse-inspired kitchens, adding detail and familiarity. Bow handles feel timeless and functional, while square-profile options create a cleaner, more contemporary look.

For a more minimal aesthetic, recessed and profile handles can simplify the overall appearance and allow materials and form to take centre stage.

Some clients love statement hardware. Others prefer it to quietly disappear into the cabinetry. The best choice is always the one that suits both the home and the people living in it.

Because thoughtful design lives in the details.

What’s your preference: statement handles or seamless cabinetry?

Texture, warmth, contrast, light — material choices matter.

Wood and white is a combination that never really dates — but no two pairings ever feel quite the same.

Wood brings warmth, texture, and character, while white keeps things feeling fresh, light, and timeless.

The balance between the two can completely change the mood of a kitchen.

Lighter timbers often create a softer, more relaxed feel with a subtle coastal or contemporary edge. Darker woods introduce contrast, depth, and a more grounded architectural quality.

Some clients are drawn to calm and minimal spaces. Others prefer richer tones and layered textures. Neither is right or wrong — the best material selections are the ones that reflect how you want your home to feel.

Design isn’t just about appearance. It’s about creating spaces that feel right to live in every day.

Which kitchen mood feels more like home to you?

Fall in love with your kitchen again.

It’s the heart of the home.
Where meals are prepared, morning coffee is brewed, and conversations echo the day that just passed.

No matter how beautiful the outdoor spaces are, people always seem to gather around the kitchen. It’s where daily routines unfold, guests naturally connect, and family life happens in between everything else.

That’s why every kitchen we design is different.

Some clients want warmth and texture. Others lean minimal and refined. Some need spaces that work hard for busy family life, while others prioritise entertaining and connection.

The best kitchens aren’t just visually beautiful — they’re designed around the people who use them and the way they live.

Maybe these projects will convince you it’s time to fall in love with yours again.

A rug is rarely the finishing touch.
More often, it is what allows a room to feel resolved in the first place.

Without one, furniture can feel disconnected from the space around it. A rug creates structure, grounding key pieces and helping a room feel intentional rather than dispersed.

But its role goes beyond placement.

Texture is often what introduces depth into a space. Through weave, pile and materiality, a rug softens harder surfaces and adds a layer that furniture alone cannot achieve.

The atmosphere of a room is shaped by these quieter details.
Soft tonal rugs can create calm and stillness, while more defined textures bring rhythm, structure and presence.

The right rug doesn’t simply sit within a room.
It changes how the room feels.

What role do you think rugs play most in a space — warmth, texture, acoustics, or defining the layout?

Staying connected with suppliers and seeing products firsthand is an important part of our design process.

We recently spent a lovely morning at the Bath Co showroom for a private walkthrough with Kathryn, exploring their latest bathroom and laundry cabinetry collections.

Always inspiring to see how different brands approach storage, detailing, finishes, and the practical side of spatial design — especially when it’s supported by thoughtful product development and a clear design philosophy.

We appreciated the time, conversation, and insight shared throughout the visit.

Small spatial shifts create a noticeably bigger experience.

◦ Reclaiming space from the bathroom allows the kitchen to expand in both function and ease of use. Carefully considered storage, hardware, and lighting help the space feel larger and more intuitive.
◦ Removing the hallway wall improves circulation and sightlines, helping to better connect the spaces.
◦ A new colour palette introduces texture and warmth, bringing a modern layer to this character cottage.

This home was restructured into a more connected way of living.

The wall between the kitchen and dining was removed to create a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space, supported by a series of spatial adjustments throughout the layout.

Office → bathroom.
Bathroom → utility + pantry.
Every zone reworked to improve flow, function, and connection.

A complete spatial transformation — where every room was reimagined, not just redesigned.

This project focuses on reshaping how the home functions as a whole. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining, the layout now opens into a connected, light-filled living space that feels more generous, cohesive, and effortless to move through.

At the heart of the home, a U-shaped kitchen with a breakfast bar peninsula creates a natural connection between cooking, dining, and living. White cabinetry and black accents bring contrast, while Ruyi Marble White benchtops and timber shelving introduce warmth and texture.

What was once an underutilized office nook is now a sleek, purpose-built bathroom, while the original bathroom and laundry have been reconfigured into a hardworking utility zone — combining laundry function with walk-in pantry storage.

A consistent material palette ties everything together, with Horizon Stone Ice Snow benchtops and crisp white hexagonal tiles carrying continuity across spaces. The bathroom completes the transformation with a floating vanity, generous shower enclosure, and round LED mirror — balancing practicality with a calm, minimal aesthetic.

The result is a home that feels more open, more functional, and intentionally connected in every zone.

Which space shift makes the biggest impact — kitchen, bathroom, or overall layout flow?

Texture, warmth, and layered lighting completely changed the feel of this bathroom. ✨

Material selection played a key role in shaping the atmosphere of this space. Travertine-look porcelain tiles from Tile Warehouse using the Sensi Roma and Sensi Roma Wave ranges bring softness, warmth, and subtle texture throughout, while the timber vanity adds depth and a grounding natural contrast.

The Pond LED mirror from Code Interiors became a defining feature within the design — combining atmospheric lighting, a demister, motion-activated touchless control, and integrated Bluetooth functionality, all while maintaining a clean and minimal visual presence.

Would you include a feature mirror like this in your own bathroom renovation?
