One of my wonderful regular clients asked me to clear her fence in preparation for painting. She was thrilled with the results saying "Just got home, worth every penny. What an amazing transformation, I don’t think it’s ever looked that good. Thank you so much."

This lovely client wanted a bit of a tidy up. She does her own lawns but wanted some bushes trimmed back and a general clearing of some of the overgrown bits.

She was thrilled with the results, saying "the backyard looks transformed, I'm so impressed".

When this lovely client got in touch she said she was struggling to maintain the out-of-control agapanthus and wanted them gone. Removing them has brought in a lot more light and really opened the area up, check out these before and after pics.

Client of the month!

1. Who are you?

My name is Bryan and I'm a one-man band looking after properties in the Hutt Valley region.

2. What do you do/what is your business?

Outdoor and More focuses on garden maintenance and lawn care. Although time permitting I've also turned my hand to exterior painting and replacing the odd fence or two. I'm always happy to see if I can help no matter what the job, and will be upfront if it's not within my area of expertise.

3. What is your favourite part about what you do?

I've always loved working outdoors. Before Outdoor and More I was a screen printer for over 30 years, so this was a bit of a change of scene for me, but outdoor maintenance has always been a passion. Even in weekends you'll often find me out in the garden at home if I'm not working. I also really like the flexibility in hours. I have two daughters so it's great that I can work around their schedules too.

4. How does having an accountant make life easier for you?

I would be lost without Sophisticated Accounting! When I first met with Sophie 3 years ago I had very little knowledge of how to run a business. I knew I needed to send out invoices and keep records for the taxman, but no idea how to go about it. Sophie set me up with some great templates which I still use to this to this day. She makes things super easy for me and explains things in clear, straightforward terms. I know I can always ask her any questions (no matter how silly they might seem) and she'll come back to me with a solution. I couldn't run my business without her.
