We have lost many established and mature trees to this storm, and many more remain broken, snapped and unsafe. Please take care when out and about, keep your eyes up for hanging branches you may not have noticed before.
Not only do these trees filter air, provide shade and connect the water cycle for humans, they also provide food, nesting sites and essential habitat for native birds, insects and many other species, some of which are listed as nationally critically endangered.
Qualified and experienced arborists understand and respect this. Many storm damaged and broken trees that seem to the untrained eye to be written off, can usually be rebalanced, reduced and retained, leaving a safe and functional living specimen to continue providing all the good things trees do, for years to come. This can also be cheaper than full removal.
If you have damaged trees that you care for, or have trees that gave you a scare recently that need maintaining please contact Tree Wise Guys.
