Ever walked around Lake Matheson, New Zealand? 👀

There are some walks where if you time them perfectly you get treated to just astounding scenery...Lake Matheson is just one of those places nature gives us that we can only stop and stare on in awe of how beautiful our world is! There is an easy walk to the lakes main viewing point, which also has disabled access. The lake circuit is a 2.6km return walk taking around 1.5 hours. It is a perfect leisurely weekend place and a really ‘wow’ place to share with family and friends. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Ever hiked Roy's Peak, New Zealand? 🤔 Roy's Peak is one of the best panoramic views in New Zealand in our opinion!
It is a 16km out and back tail that will take you around 5-6 hours, but it is worth it for the amazing panoramic views at the summit! Wanaka has some absolutely fantastic day hikes that if you are looking into visiting New Zealand you should put it on your list for sure 👍!

Yosemite is just out of this world stunning and if you get up high at sunset to gaze upon this unbelievable place. There are so many good walks in Yosemite and we highly recommend the Panorama Trail. It spans 8.5 miles one way and is deemed as strenuous, but with every hard hike there are views to relish! You can include both Illilouette Fall and Nevada Falls to complete a stunning hike! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Ever been to The Jurassic Coast in the UK? 😀 Durdle Door is one of the most photographed parts of a coastline in the world on Instagram at the minute! You can include Durdle Door in the beautiful South West Coastal Path, which is one of the most beautiful walks you can do in the UK and showcases the amazing Jurassic Coast! Stretching from Old Harry Rocks to Exmouth the path is 95 miles long and can be done in under a week with easy going pathways. Don't forget your camera!! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Ever hiked in the Swiss Alps? The Swiss Alps are such a monumental landscape to hike in and they provide some of Europe’s best landscapes. There are a number of fantastic day hikes and sometimes the moodier the weather is the more amazing the alps are! Try the Hohenweg Hohbalmen starting in Zermatt. Is your weekend looking as dreamy as this? 😃 Mount Cook National Park is one of New Zealand's most premium landscapes! The Ho**er Valley Track is a great introduction to the area and one that isn't too strenuous. Providing snow capped mountain scenery and wild flowers throughout, this is a beautiful chilled stroll for the weekend! Another epic kiwi hike, they get better and better. Just look at that view! Not too far from Christchurch, the climb up Peak Hill to see the wonders of Lake Coleridge is a tough, but short tester. 3 hours return is perfect for a weekend tramp is the Kiwi's call it ☀️⛰

Have you walked the best urban walk in the world? 🌏
The Dragon's Back Trail makes you feel like you are a world away from the bustling Metropolis of Hong Kong. It truly is an absolute must being only an hour and 15 minutes out of the CBD. The trail takes you through lush forestry to epic views over several bays including Big Waves Bay. If you want to end at Big Waves Bay take the extra 2.5km and you won't be disappointed. At the end of the day jump in a minibus for 10 Hong Kong dollars to get back to the train line back to central. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Where's next on your hiking list? 🌏 Visiting Lake Tarawera via the Tarawera Trail is an absolute must in NZ. We, at World's Best Walk's rate this so highly for NZ trampers and it is a perfect distance for a day hike. And the best thing is that you get to bathe in hot springs at Hot Water Beach to soothe off your muscles from the trail! And if you get to see Lake Tarawera at sunrise then you might be treated to absolute beauty. The trail goes through fairly overgrown forest and is an uneven path at times, but at only 15km one way and then a boat back to the car park at the entrance it really is a super relaxing day! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Where have you walked this weekend? 😁 Mount Shuksan is such a prominent peak in the North Cascades, Washington. To climb Mount Shuksan it requires climbing, so this is a route for the climbers out there, but one that has to be up with the best in the world if you get a chance to do it. The Sulphide Route is classed the easiest way up. Plan this trip in a group as there is some glacier travel and an exposed scramble near the top! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Forever chasing reflections, right? 🌏 Fjordland National Park, South Island, New Zealand is an area that you can't miss if you are visiting NZ. The national park is nicknamed the Walking Capital of the World. One of the best tracks here is the Routeburn Track, which is one of the best alpine adventures you can get in the world. Passing the Routeburn river, the Routerburn cascades and staring on through Hollyford Valley and Darren Mountains, this track is just amazing! It is 32km long and takes between 2 and 4 days. Book your huts in advance along the way as it is a very popular track! ⛰🌏💦
