Busy day today - first text 4.45am - Powers out! Yep but I can't climb the pole and fix it - you'll just have to be patient.
Survey the wind's mess at home and collect a few flying bean bags.
7.30am - Coffee from the Jolly and drive to Opotiki.
9.30am - Meet the trustees of the Motu Trails Trust - great team.
10am - Opotiki District Council powhiri for councillors elect.
11.45am - Meeting about Community Patrols in Opotiki.
Drive to Whakatane
1pm - Constituent meeting.
2pm - Healthy Homes meeting with provider Lisa Chater - new allowances for people who need a bit extra help getting their homes insulated - 4000 homes potentially in Eastern Bay.
3pm - 4pm - constituent meetings
5pm - Whakatane Rotary Club meeting and give the guest speaker presentation. It's been a while but one of my best PR jobs I ever did was for the Whakatane Rotary Club with the recipe book "Plenty" - so good we copied it and created "Feast" in Gisborne for the Sunshine Bus.

Great day - just some emails and admin to finish off and we do it all again tomorrow - such a privilege.
