Pou and myself went down to Upper Hutt this weekend to compete in the Wellington Regional Tree Climbing Championship.

It was Pous first comp, he had a really good comp finishing every event and performing incredibly well. He entered the New Arborist of the year competition as well.

Was a cold day but a great turn out and really well run event.
Bring on the next event!

Pou did an awesome job crown lifting these Washingtonia Palms this week to open view lines up the river.

It was his first time up one of these Palms and he nailed it!

Last week we removed this massive Macrocarpa tree that was dropping large branches and becoming too dangerous.

did the climbing and got it down safe and efficiently with the assistance of some slick operating from Renée and Sandy at Balgownie Cranes ensuring there was no damage to surrounding trees and buildings.

It's such a great machine! After a couple days use we are loving it.
With a winch and lift and crush it will improve efficiency big time.

He dismantled this Alder tree safely and skillfully today.

Good to have such a driven and talented young arborist on the team.
