Winning Architectural Contest Entry
Designed in partnership with Cambefort & Boza
2014
Original contest entry for King's College in a tropical context (close to the Panama Canal). This design entry was created in partnership with Cambefort & Boza, led by architect Álvaro Cambefort, back in 2014.
The masterplan, concept and form were refined merging the site's specifics and institution's needs. The design process started pinpointing trees, which trunk diameters exceeded 40cm, not only respectfully working the layout around them, but trying to achieve a seamless integration. The architectural expression is a contemporary take on classic Canal Zone/ South Pacific military settlements.
Our team won the contest. Since then, Cambefort & Boza took the reins of the project, which has much matured and evolved since. Stay tuned for further updates!
