Probé el capchi de setas 🍄‍🟫 cuando dicté un curso en Cusco durante un fin de semana. Los alumnos me llevaron a un restaurante típico 🍲. Me gustó mucho el sabor y la textura. Años después, lo comí en Casa Bini. Una sopa disfrazada de guiso, con habas, papa y el infaltable queso 🧀 andino (al final de la cocción para que no derrita). Ven a Casa Bini y engríete con un capchi calentito. ¡Disfruten!

I tried mushroom 🍄‍🟫 “capchi” when I taught a course in Cusco over a weekend. The students took me to a local food restaurant 🍲. I really liked the flavor and texture. Years later, I ate it at Casa Bini. A soup disguised as a stew, with “haba” beans, potatoes, and the Andean cheese 🧀 that cannot be missed (by the end of cooking so it doesn’t melt). Come to Casa Bini and indulge yourself with a warm “capchi”. Enjoy!

Cada vez que las nubes, el sol y las montañas se reúnen, donde escogen sentarse en la mesa del paisaje y la conversación que sostienen, nunca son las mismas. Tampoco, la foto del recuerdo del encuentro. Quédate en Casa Bini cuando visites Urubamba, Cuzco y déjate sorprender por los diferentes colores y formas que toma su maravillosa vista durante el día ⛰️👀🏔️ (Reto: intenta identificar las montañas en la foto desde el avión ✈️)

Whenever the clouds, the sun and the mountains get together, where they choose to sit at the table of landscape and the conversation they have, are never the same. Neither the picture that keeps memory of the meeting. Este es el batán. Una licuadora de piedra. Vino en barco desde España hace más de 60 años, vivió en Corongo (Ancash) y, el año pasado, llegó a Casa Bini. Su “fuerte”, la uchucuta especial de Casa Bini, ¡Deliciosa! En tu estadía, pídela y sírvete de manera generosa. Si quieres hacerla tú, el noble batán te guiará. Si quieres llevarte un poco, adelante, aunque quizás te la comas antes. Aquí fue usada en un desayuno de butifarras con jamón del país, también hecho en Casa Bini 😊🏔️☕️

This is the “batán”. A stone made blender. It came by sea from Spain more than 60 years ago, lived in Corongo (Ancash) and, during the last year, arrived to Casa Bini. It’s “talent”, the special uchucuta from Casa Bini, Delicious! During your stay, ask for it and serve yourself generously. If you want to prepare it yourself, the noble “batan” will guide you. If you want to take some home, go ahead, although you might eat it before it arrives to its final destination. These pictures are from a “butifarras” breakfast (traditional Peruvian sandwich), with “jamón del país” (Peruvian ham) also made at Casa Bini 😊🏔️☕️
