DESIGN & FUNCTION
Vibecoding x Digital Fabrication

“Design & Function” examines “function” from a computational standpoint: It doesn’t begin with predefined typologies or scale assumptions, but rather through a code-driven analytical lens. Through rules, parameters and constraints, students are capable of producing observable and verifiable behaviors within formal systems.
Vibecoding is positioned as a central practice: iterating, testing, and making design decisions in real time, with code serving as a primary instrument for reasoning. LLMs operate as mediating tools that support exploration, debugging, and documentation, while maintaining control, traceability, and clear design intent.
Digital Fabrication functions as both catalyst and validator. All computational outputs are materially tested through iterative prototyping.
