CONstruction TERMS ✔️

"Anilyo" or Stirrups in Beam and Lateral Ties for Columns. A big factor in ensuring shear strength for Beams and Lateral Stability in Columns. Different terms depending on where they will used but same function to prevent main bar from buckling or bumaluktot/pumilipit or kumalas. Another function of "Anilyo" is to Enhancing Structural Integrity by keeping the concrete confined and ensuring the entire reinforced concrete element behaves as single and stronger unit.

"Iskwala" (or "eskwala") is the Filipino term for a square, a carpentry and construction tool shaped like an 'L' used to measure and mark 90-degree (right) angles, ensuring corners are "squared up" and structures are plumb, essential for accurate building and woodworking.
