Balai-i for two!

This year’s passion project, Baru a Balai, takes its cues from the Bauhaus movement—where simplicity meets purpose, and where steel, glass, and concrete prove that “form follows function” isn’t just a principle, but a lifestyle.

As 2025 draws to a close, I can happily say: what a year it has been!
If there’s one highlight worth celebrating, it’s the deep dive into Revit. Each year, I challenge myself to explore something new—be it a concept, material, technique, or design approach—and this year’s journey did not disappoint.

Huge appreciation to Construct, especially Jerrymel Juguiad Batara, for the guidance, mentorship, and constant push to experiment and grow in Revit! The coming year is set to be even more exciting—more learning, more creating, more room for fresh beginnings.

To my schoolmate, myfriend ,my client, Reiane. Welcome back to PH! I hope that this collaborated design makes your Work-From Home Set-Up (WFH) more conducive and energetic.

(Client wants to envision of appropriate space arrangement- bed, working space and cabinets too! She wants a simple and straight forward design that address her needs especially her WFH set up to their new house in Pampanga! To utilize every area of this space is upfront considered.)

This conceptual design emerged and inspired by a circular semi-open plan with roof slope towards the center that rest on a circular Metal Pipe/pillars that gives a sense of floating roof structure.

To feel at home while far away from home is one of the most satisfying experience that a person can have.

The form and the elements of this concept inspired from the public toilet at Supertree Groove, Singapore that gave me a SENSE of homey vibe feeling without compromising a comfort of a home.

This concept will now go to my archive and has been a creative expression of an Architectural experienced.

One of the schemes of our Proposal of 2 Storey-Rest House in Isabela Province.
A pre-design and development phase where in the Architect was called for - to utilize the space needed for the client's Project.

There will always be a hindsight reasons or ideas that an Architect may come play to your project. Giving our dear clients a simple line drawing may give a substantial and important key component on how our building may looks like.

SC denies petition by civil engineers to invalidate Section 302 (4) of the 2004 IRR of the National Building Code, limiting to architects the authority to prepare, sign and seal "architectural documents" enumerated therein.

According to the SC, there is an implied repeal, given the irreconcilable difference between two laws. While the Civil Engineering Law (RA 544) provides for the authority of civil engineers to prepare, sign, and seal various plans, which includes architectural documents, Sec 20 (5) of the Architecture Act (RA 9266) states that "[a]ll architectural plans, designs, specifications, drawings, and architectural documents relative to the construction of a building shall bear the seal and signature only of a registered and licensed architect".

BAAK House | Residential

Baak House is a project that revolves in the guiding principles of smallness, minimal, humility, true to its basic form and shape.
This project emerged during pandemic that serves as a incubation as for start-up of ideas, architectural template, and methodology that enables me to dream as an Architect.

Across the board this project can be seen in the scaled and senses' logo that reminds me the the idea of dreaming and creating.
