Moisture often enters through damaged insulation, improper seals at connections, or water seeping into conduit, causing aluminum or copper conductors to corrode, which increases resistance and causes overheating.

✅ Concrete Consolidation
- Rodding (X) – Not recommended; can cause segregation and uneven compaction.
- Hammering Mold (X) – Incorrect; may damage the mold and does not properly consolidate concrete.
- Electric Vi****or (✔) – Correct method; ensures proper compaction, removes air voids, and increases strength.

✅ Concrete Curing
- Spraying Water Directly (X) – Improper; leads to surface cracks and uneven curing.
- Saturated Blankets (✔) – Correct method; maintains moisture uniformly, prevents shrinkage cracks, and ensures durability.

🔧 Concrete Compaction & Curing – Right vs Wrong Method

Proper compaction and curing are essential for strong and durable concrete structures. Many site practices like rodding the concrete or hitting the formwork with a hammer may seem helpful, but they actually lead to poor compaction and voids inside the concrete.

✅ Correct Method:
Use an Electric Concrete Vi****or to remove air bubbles and achieve proper compaction.
❌ Wrong Methods:
• Rodding the concrete randomly
• Hammering the formwork
For curing, spraying water directly on the concrete surface is not recommended because it may cause uneven curing.

✅ Best Practice:
Cover the concrete with water-saturated blankets or wet gunny bags to maintain continuous moisture and ensure proper hydration of cement.
Strong concrete depends on proper vibration and proper curing.
