My own interpretation on one of the several battles between Spanish and Dutch navies commonly known as La Naval De Manila 1646 on the Philippine waters, the date is 29th of July 1646, Europe is at war, the Dutch wants Manila, but first, they have to defy the navy.
During this battle, the spanish consists of two old galleons Encarnacion (center) and Rosario (far right back) against the Dutch's 7.
This painting depicts the moment when Encarnacion is being sorrounded by the Dutch warships (showing 4 out of 7) while Rosario in full sail trying to join the battle.
