We are deeply honored to be part of the upcoming exhibition, "Architecture and Urban Design Visions: The Power of the Imagined," at the Yuchengco Museum. It is a privilege to showcase our work alongside esteemed architects, visionaries, and designers who continue to shape the discourse of our built environment.

The exhibition opens on April 4 and will run until June 27, 2025. Admission is free for students and faculty. Hope to see you there!

P Haus is a residential project that reimagines the concept of a home optimized for social gatherings, where the architecture fosters a sense of community while preserving personal privacy. The design is centered around creating spaces that encourage interaction and connection, making the house an ideal setting for hosting friends and family.

The layout of P Haus is thoughtfully arranged to balance openness with seclusion. Visual connections between rooms and common areas are carefully crafted, allowing guests to feel connected across different spaces while still offering moments of retreat and privacy when needed. Large windows, open-plan living areas, and strategically placed sightlines contribute to a fluid experience, where each space feels part of a larger whole.

3D modeling has truly transformed the architecture profession, allowing us to share our design vision with clients more vividly than ever before. They no longer have to imagine what we mean—they can see it. But while 3D modeling has its perks, it also brings a few challenges. It’s easy to get swept up in the limitless potential of the digital world, which can sometimes create unrealistic expectations.

As designers, it’s our job to keep things grounded. We must constantly check how our digital ideas translate into the real world. After all, increasing a camera view in a model won’t make a room feel any larger in person. Recognizing this difference between virtual and actual space helps us set realistic expectations and add real value for our clients.

A PRISMATIC RETREAT
The Outpost is a farmhouse located in Bulacan. Conceived as an "outpost" on its completely flat and open site, its form and disposition were primarily a reaction to its isolated condition.
Like a treehouse for adults, the building's prismatic form offers both view and privacy. Each level of the house presents a different configuration of space, thus creating a dynamic experience. An angled opening serves as a front porch and main entry to the house, while a "watchtower" projects out of its rear elevation, allowing its occupants to enjoy the afternoon sun. Elevated for security, the farmhouse maximizes views while maintaining privacy; internally motivated yet externally aware. While exploiting the views might seem obvious, the architecture takes this agenda to a new level and let its inhabitants interact with their environment.
