A clear and accessible guide, designed to be understood by the everyday Filipino. We hope it empowers everyone with the knowledge to build safer, more resilient homes and communities against earthquakes and typhoons.
We think that this guide is timely to share since the recent earthquakes and typhoon that struck Cebu. The recent Typhoon last November 3, 2025, left 141 deaths, 57 missing, and 123 injured. This guide was compiled thoroughly after Typhoon Yolanda ravaged Tacloban City.

An alumnus of the prestigious IHS Institute for Housing & Urban Development Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Ar. Abbu brought global insight into the uniquely local contexts he served. His expertise was sought by international institutions, including the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), where he served as a consultant, championing architecture as a tool for recovery and resilience.
